STRENGTH OF VOLUNTEERS:

The State has been authorized to raise and train 2100 Home Guard Volunteers and this has been completed in three phases.  In course of time, there are many that have been terminated on grounds of overage, others on disciplinary grounds and many others on finding gainful employment and still others who deserted/expired.  To make up the shortfall, fresh recruitments are made every year.
